Grants, policy and controls

Grants were set rates and other protection mechanisms implemented to protect some industries and to keep providing jobs. Some people wondered if the purpose of production was simply produce goods or provide jobs.

As things got worse, they tried wage control, price controls, and all sorts of controls. The government tried to get more money with a sales tax, payroll taxes, wage taxes and all taxes. They argued about personalities, idealism, slogans, everything except the real problem.
